THE RULES OF ADMISSION

FOR THE BACHELOR’S, SPECIALIST’S AND MASTER’S PROGRAMS
FOR 2019–2010 ACADEMIC YEAR

I. General provisions

  • The following rules of admission for the programs of higher education (the Bachelor’s, Specialist’s and Master’s programmes) regulate the admission of the citizens of the Russian Federation, foreign residents and individuals without citizenship.
  • These rules of admission are worked out in accordance with the standards of higher education, established by the Russian Federal Law.
  • For the Bachelor’s and Specialist’s programs individuals with completed secondary education are accepted (on the basis of their results of the Unified National Exam and special exams of the Academy); for the Master’s program only those already having higher education are accepted (on the basis of the special exams, held by the Academy).
  • Individuals, who have any professional achievements are welcome to present them and they will be taken into account at the admission exams.
  • All the admission documents are presented either by a potential student or by a trustee.
  • For the Bachelor’s and Specialist’s programs the admissions timeline is from June, 20 till Jyly, 8. The closing date for the additional exams is July, 26. For the Master’s programs the admissions timeline is from September, 16 till September 20. The closing date for the exams is September, 27.

II. Provisions concerning exams

  • Some categories of potential students (the disabled and international students) can take all the exams directly at the Academy.
  • The following applicants can apply for admission without exams:
    • Winners and prize holders of the Russian national academic competition (not later than 4 years after the competition);
    • Winners and prize holders of the Ukrainian national academic competition;
    • Champions and prize holders of the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaf Olympic Games.
  • Orphans, children of the military men and the disabled can apply for admission on special terms.
  • Applicants can apply to three departments of the Academy at a time.
  • The documents can be brought by an applicant or a trustee or sent by post.
  • The documents must include a passport, a secondary education certificate, certificates of professional education and other necessary certificates.
  • The international students (excluding those from Ukraine) need to have legalized translations of the documents (with an apostille)

III. Exams, held by the Academy

  • The exams are held in Russian.
  • The disabled take the exams on special terms.
  • Each applicant has a right for appeal.
  • The final results and information concerning admission for the Bachelor’s and Specialist’s programs will be officially published after August, 1; for the Master’s program – not later than on October,1.

2.3 drawing of a man’s head - head with shoulders (paper, graphite pencil, 40x50) or a gesso head (paper, graphite pencil, 60x40)
2.4 composition on a given theme - given theme (canvas, oil, 50 sm)
2.5 composition on a free theme - free theme (canvas, oil, 50 sm)
Placement interview
3.1 interview on professional themes oral exam or written test
